Sara Stock

Sara Stock is co-founder of Legal Back Office and  founder of Stock Legal. Legal Back Office was borne out of a problem Stock Legal had - How to scale the firm without obliterating Stock Legal's profit margins, given the expense required to hire an amazing "back office" team.  Sara thought - If she was struggling with this problem, so were thousands of other managing partners.  She put her MBA to work, and with the help of her co-founder, built out a plan to provide exceptional back office support in all of the ways that small to mid-sized law firms need to thrive and grow.

Sara transitioned from an equity position at a large St. Louis law firm to start Stock Legal, which grew from 1 lawyer and a hundred clients to 15+ lawyers and thousands of clients in less than a decade. Sara is driven by her desire to better serve small-to-medium-sized businesses. Her passion for these clients is rooted in her personal background; she grew up in a family business.  Sara's family still runs a successful trucking company, Stock Transport. Sara’s experience extends beyond legal practice, having also acted as a fractional COO and continues to support her family business.

Sara’s approach combines sophisticated legal experience with a true business partner mindset, setting her apart in the legal field. She is actively involved in various board services, including a board position for the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association, executive board member of FOCUS St. Louis, and several local organizations. Her dedication to both her clients and the broader legal community underscores her commitment to an impactful and strategic legal career.

Outside of work, Sara is dedicated to her three amazing kiddos, and enjoys a range of outdoor activities. Whether cheering on her daughters at gymnastics meets, supporting her son in his dream to play for the MLB, snowboarding, hiking or deep-sea fishing, Sara values spending active and quality time with her loved ones, reflecting her vibrant and engaged approach to life
